Equivalent Melanopic Lux (EML)>>>

Equivalent Melanopic Lux (EML) is a metric used in lighting design to measure how much a light source stimulates the human biological clock, rather than just how bright it looks to the human eye.

While traditional “lux” measures the light we need for visual sight, EML measures the light we need for circadian health—regulating our sleep-wake cycles, daytime alertness, and mood.
